Hello! My name is Paula Elandt Before Paula’s Pet Sitting, I had a variety of different jobs. I worked on a dairy farm, as a US Army soldier, as a Seamstress, as a Mom of seven, in Retail and Restaurant work, in Medical Office positions, in Child Daycare, and as an
Event Planner. Pet Sitting was never on my radar – I didn’t even know it was a “thing”!

While homeschooling my three youngest kids in 2015, I assigned them a “Unit Study” called “Entrepreneurship.” The kids had to pick a business and learn web design, marketing, accounting, and spreadsheets. They had to have a client or two to pass the unit. However, when the kids went away to summer camp, their clients (our neighbors) missed having their dogs walked. I stepped in to help the neighbors, and they told their friends about their pet sitter. Before I knew it, I was so busy I needed help, so I hired Amy (now our Office Manager) and split my work week with her. Soon, we were so busy that I hired another person to help us out and another person and yet another.

In the past eight years, we have provided over 55,000 visits in the city limits of Midland. I am proud of the PPS team’s work to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations. Nearly 700 Pet Clients will attest to that fact. When, every day, we see doggy noses pressed to the window in anticipation of a walk, kitty Clients running from the bedroom to see if dinner is served, and flocks of chickens gently clucking as we herd them to the coop, I can’t help but reflect on the indisputable fact that I have finally found my
calling in life. I have found my dream job!

Hi! My name is Amy Clark and I will be the person responding to all phone calls, emails and text messages Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. I ensure that our Pet Care provider’s schedules flow smoothly and the needs of our client’s and their pets are taken care of.

I have been owned and loved by animals for my entire life. I have owned a variety of pets including barn animals, horses, cats, dogs, rats, reptiles, gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, hermit crabs, birds, fish, etc. The only critter I am not comfortable with is SPIDERS!

For years I spent a lot of time involved in training and showing dogs. It was a ton of fun but also a huge time commitment, especially on the weekends. As my children started to get busy in sports on the weekends, I decided to give up my hobby for the time being so I could be there to support them.

The thing I love best about pet sitting is that no matter what kind of day I am having, animals always make my day better!

Hi There! I provide Mid-Day Dog Walks and Vacation Services. I love animals, and believe that a pet is a fundamental source of unconditional love 😉 I feel privileged to be able to help other people provide care for their pets!

While growing up, and while raising my own children, I have enjoyed having many different types of pets, from rats and cavies to birds and fish to dogs and cats. I currently share a home with my cat and three goldfish.

I am originally from the Traverse City area, but have lived in Midland for the past 15 years. I’ve always had a love for animals and have always had a best friend in the form of a cat or dog.

While going to school at CMU, I was in a zoology course learning about animal behavior and realized I wanted a career revolving around animals. I can’t wait to make more animal friends!

Hi Everyone! My name is Stephanie and I am so excited to be a part of Paula’s Pet Sitting team. I provide Pet Sitting, Dog Walks, Vacation Services, and Overnight House Sitting services in Midland, Michigan.

My first experience with pets was when I was about 6 or 7 and my parents got me a guinea pig. That was followed by many more guinea pigs and then I got my first dog about 30 years ago and I haven’t been “dogless” since. We currently have 3 dogs and 3 cats and I love spending time with them! I don’t know who looks more forward to our daily walks, me or the dogs?

Hello Midland! I am a lifelong resident of our fair city. I’ve been around cats and dogs my whole life and never once been without a fuzzy friend in my home. Now I’m excited to be a part of the Paula’s Pet Sitting Team and share my love for every kind of critter with everyone. I currently have a wonderful (if a bit yappy) schnauzer named Purl. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets soon!

Hi! My name is Isabella and I provide Pet Sitting, Dog Walks, Pet Taxi, Vacation Services, and Overnight Care. I’m originally from Switzerland but have lived in Midland since 2003 and currently share my home with my son and our beloved cat Aliena. For the past 15 years I have been volunteering with SOS Animal Rescue where I currently serve as a director. After 25+ years of corporate jobs I’m very excited to be part of Paula’s team and I can’t wait to meet you and your Fur Babies!

I am so happy to be part of the team working for Paula’s Pet Sitting! I have extensive experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, and fish, as these are animals that I grew up with.

I moved to Midland in the late summer of 2023 but have lived in Michigan, Rhode Island, Virginia, Florida, and Cuba. I was raised in a military family, so we traveled a lot. I saw many amazing animals, everything from lions and bonobos in Africa to puffins and Icelandic ponies in Iceland. As I grew up, I have had many animals around, and I love caring for my rabbit and fish now.

I offer Pet Sitting, Dog Walks, Pet Taxi, Vacation Services, and Overnight Care. I was born and raised in Midland, surrounded by many animals. As a child, I was affectionately nicknamed Snow White due to my close bonds with animals. Currently, I have two Shih Tzu mixes named Gus and Cleo and a cat named Rita. Non-traditional pets like rodents, reptiles, and insects hold a special place in my heart. Whether your pets are furry, scaly, feathered, or something else, I’d love to meet them!

Hi, I’m Bo! Originally from a small town in Michigan’s thumb, my childhood as a Navy kid took me across the East Coast and even to a few other countries, sparking my curiosity about the world. For the past few years, I’ve called Midland home and enjoy getting to know my community better.

My family has always been surrounded by animals, including finches, chickens, quails, bunnies, snakes, pigs, horses, dogs, cats, and even a koi pond at my grandparents’ house. I can’t imagine a day without a critter by my side.

I have a special love for exotic animals and find them fascinating and often misunderstood. At home, I care for my three cats—Pinecone, a rescued kitten; Smalls, a sassy calico; and Harold, my partner’s elderly orange cat. I also have two aquariums, one with a Betta and another with catfish. I’m constantly learning and improving their habitats.

I’m passionate about providing a safe environment for my animals and offer a range of pet care services, including pet walking, pet taxi, house sitting, and overnight care.
